Flu Vaccinations

We are holding open flu clinics as well as bookable clinics at the surgery, please call the surgery on 01344 310202 and we will be happy to book an appointment for you.

Important Info: From 1 April 2015, patients at Crown Wood Medical Centre be able to self checkin when they arrive for their appointments. Patients also be able to complete the health questionnaire.

Crown Wood Medical Centre has installed a Visual Information System to provide the health information as well as patient call facility

Important Info: Access to online Patient Records is activated. This includes medication, allergies and immunisations. In order to access this information, patients have to logon to online services. If you have not already registered for online services such as online appointments and repeat prescriptions, please contact the surgery. For those patients who have already registered for online services, please come to the surgery with a photo id (passport or driving licence) to enable this service.

The NHS Friends and Family Test begins on 1 December 2014. If you would like to leave your feedback for the surgery please complete the Friends & Family Survey.

Walk in centres

There are also walk-in centres situated at Upton Hospital (Slough) and Broad Street Mall (Reading). Anyone can walk into these centres between 08:00 - 20:00 and see a nurse with or without an appointment, whether they are registered with a GP or not. If the nurse feels an appointment with a GP is required, this can be arranged. Emergency contraception and prebooked travel vaccinations are also offered at the following locations:

  •  Upton Hospital, Albert Street Slough SL1 2BJ
  • 103 Broad Street Mall, Reading, Berkshire, RG1 7QA



A&E Departments

Wexham Park Hostpital (Slough) and Royal Berkshire Hospital (Reading) both have A&E departments - open 24 hours.
